In 1997 Paragraph Publishing was born, the international business medium specializing in all kinds of liquors and travel.
The core of its activities was book and magazine publishing, creating web pages, organizing tastings accompanied by award ceremonies all over the globe.
A year later, in 1998, the first themed magazine, entirely devoted to whisky – Whisky Magazine – was published. It is now printed in 5 languages. The Whisky Live Festival is an original project of Paragraph Publishing. The event premiered in February 2000 in Tokyo. The same year another festival took place in London. In the following years Whisky Live appeared in more cities, such as Tokyo, Sydney, Hong Kong, New York, Singapore and Paris Currently, every year the festival is held in 32 cities on all continents.
Initiator and organizer of recurring tastings and trainings. Founder and publicist for “Whisky Fan Club” — a group uniting over 15 000 users on Facebook. Publicist for Forbes magazine.
For his knowledge, achievements and contribution to promotion of whisky he was honoured with an invitation to act as a judge at the prestigious World Whiskies Awards taking place every year in London – as the first Pole in history. In 1995 he established Tudor House, one of the most influential companies endeavouring in import and distribution of premium segment whisky in Poland. He is also the owner of the Ballantine’s store chain.
He passed his passion onto his company which has been flourishing for the past 20 years. He is constantly expanding his knowledge within the field of fine liquors and shares his knowledge with disciples of the art of whisky tasting. While travelling around the globe, he discovers new distilleries learning new production methods and ways of savouring the amber liquor.
It’s true. I am a workaholic. But on the other hand, by not working, you will not create that, what you want. My company – Tudor House – is the apple of my eye and my dream, which sprouted twenty years ago. “I THINK THAT IF ONE HAS A PASSION AND WANTS TO CREATE SOMETHING THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO SACRIFICE 24 HOURS A DAY, AND NOT JUST WORK THE 8 HOURS AND GO HOME. THEN IT WILL NOT WORK.” Besides, the benefit is that apart from what I do, I have a passion for whisky. Travelling the world, visiting distilleries, meeting new people, new cultures, learning more about whisky. I do not treat all this as a chore, but as pleasure.
